Supporting the Madrigal Singers

Greetings Madrigals Families, Alumni and Fans!

Did you know that you can continue to support the Davis Madrigals indefinitely every time you shop at your regular retail stores and grocery stores? The Davis Madrigals is using a multi-faceted program called Scrip to earn donations from many local and national retailers, grocery stores and even online retailers.

The Madrigals Scrip Coordinator is using a three pronged approach to raising money through the Scrip program. Our fundraising success lies in the accumulation of families, alumni and fans to consider one or more of our contribution options. Here is a quick overview of each method.

1.    Register your everyday purchases and groceries through our online website called eScrip. Sign up with eScrip and register your Safeway card(s), credit cards, bank cards and Macy’s credit cards.  It’s quick and easy! eScrip works with merchant partners to contribute to groups like ours each time you shop - at no cost to you!

For example, when you identify the Davis High School Madrigals as your contribution group when you register your club card, Safeway contributions will come directly into our account.

2.    If you don’t shop at Safeway, our Nugget scrip card contribution program is just as easily available by obtaining a Nugget scrip card from a store clerk or from our Scrip Coordinator and registering it online.

3.    The final method has proven to be our most beneficial in earnings. Great Lakes Scrip (GLS) is a national scrip company that contracts with hundreds of businesses to purchase gift cards and certificates for restaurants, gasoline, grocery stores and many more vendors. A percentage of your purchase (ranging from 1.5% to over 20%) will be rebated back to the Madrigals every time you purchase gift cards from our coordinator for your shopping/consumption needs. So why not pay for your everyday purchases at your grocery store, department store or restaurant?  In doing so, you are helping the Madrigals.

This is an opportunity not to be missed for The Davis Madrigals Inc. to earn contributions from businesses eager to boost programs like ours. You are each invited to participate in these Scrip programs. The best part of it is that you don’t necessarily need to spend any more than you usually do on your everyday purchases. We simply need you to identify us as the recipient of your vendor’s contributions.

If you spend money on GROCERIES, GASOLINE, or SHOPPING, you can be helping the Madrigals earn money this year! Here’s how………………

 Sign up with eScrip and register your Safeway card(s), credit cards, bank cards and Macy’s credit cards. It’s quick and easy! eScrip works with merchant partners to contribute to groups like ours each time you shop - at no cost to you!

1. Go to www.escrip.com

2. Click on “sign-up”

3. Follow instructions to register your Safeway grocery card(s) and your existing credit and/or debit cards.

It’s Easy! It’s Free! It’s Powerful! Visit www.escrip.com and click on “Family of Merchants” to see it all!

(for maximum donations you can join all of our scrip programs)

    Get a Nugget scrip card and register it at www.nuggetmarket.com/community:

 1.    Click on the link called “Online Registration” located inside the bottom of the brown box on the left hand side of the screen.  

2.    If you don’t already have a Nugget scrip account, click on “Sign up now!” or sign in with your usual access information & re-activate your old Nugget card.

3.    Follow the instructions to register your Nugget grocery card(s).

4.    Don’t forget to choose Davis High School Madrigals, Inc. as your beneficiary!

A percentage of your purchase (ranging from 1.5% to over 20%) will be rebated back to the Madrigals. Here’s how:

 1.    An order form listing many participating merchants (there are too many to list all of them) along with their contribution percentage and the gift card denomination amounts available will be distributed at our monthly parent meeting. You may add vendors not listed on the form by going to www.glsc.com.

  ~  Local Davis Vendors listed on the top of page 1 include:

      §  Davis Food Co-op (3%)

      §  Steve’s Pizza (10%)

      §  Dos Coyotes (4%).

2.    Mail order forms and checks to Mary Walker at 225 Lynd Way, Dixon, CA 95620.

3.    They will be submitted and delivery of your cards will take place at the following monthly meeting. Please let your coordinator know if you will need the cards sooner as sometimes turn-around time can be expedited.
